Ingredients

  • 2 cups Ditalini pasta
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 can Diced tomatoes 14 oz
  • 1/2 tsp Salt Adjust to taste
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp Red pepper flakes Optional
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1/4 cup Fresh basil chopped For garnish

Instructions
 

  • Boil the Pasta:
  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  • Add the ditalini pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  • Drain and set aside.
  • Prepare the Sauce:
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  • Pour in diced tomatoes, salt, black pepper, oregano, and red pepper flakes.
  • Let the sauce simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Combine & Serve:
  • Add the cooked ditalini pasta to the skillet and mix well.
  • Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese over the pasta and stir until melted.
  • Garnish with fresh basil and serve warm.

Notes

  • Add cooked ground beef or sausage for extra protein.
  • Swap parmesan for pecorino romano for a sharper flavor.
